85-year old man, Karuppaya from Kallur village in Ariyalur district reportedly planted almost 2 lakh saplings in the last 40 years. Reportedly, planting saplings has been his goal throughout his life which motivated him to plant saplings in Perambalur, Ariyalur, Salem, Dharmapuri, Nellai, Tanjore and 20 other districts.
