Theni forest fire: Death toll rises to 18

With Jayashree of Tiruchy succumbing to injuries at a private hospital in Coimbatore, the death toll in Kurangani forest fire climbed to 18 on Thursday. Notably, a group of trekkers who had ventured to Kurangani hills in Theni was engulfed by a sudden forest fire in the area on March 11.
