Theni forest fire: Death toll rises to 23

One Swetha who was receiving treatment at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai after she was caught in the forest fire that engulfed Kurangani hills in Theni reportedly failed to respond to treatment and passed away on Friday. Out of the 36 people who were caught in the fire, nine people died on the spot and 14 others died later in different hospitals, taking the death toll to 23.
