The death toll in the forest fire that engulfed the Kurangani hills in Theni has reportedly reached to 10 as another woman named Nisha succumbed to burn injuries. Nisha from Velachery in Chennai was receiving treatment in hospital after suffering serious burn injuries in the fire. Reports suggest that around 10 people escaped unhurt from the fire. Meanwhile, health minister C Vijayabaskar told that the bodies of seven people were sent to their hometowns following a post-mortem.
