A 30-year-old woman working in an IT company in Pallikaranai was reportedly attacked by unidentified persons while she was returning from work near Perumbakkam-Thazhambur road on Tuesday morning. Reports say, the incident took place at around 2 am when she was hit with an iron rod in the head. The woman has been admitted to a hospital with heavy injuries. Police are reportedly investigating the matter and are yet to ascertain the motive behind the attack.
