TECH MAHINDRA COMES OUT WITH A NEW STRATEGY FOR EMPLOYEES' WORKPLACE: DETAILS

While most of the companies across the globe are continuing to work from home, leading IT Major Tech Mahindra, has introduced a new option for employees. Tech Mahindra has given the option for its employees to choose how and where they want to work. 

Unlike, other companies, Tech Mahindra has chosen to give the option for its employees since there are physical and mental constraints that people are experiencing during these difficult times. 

The company is giving employees the option to choose also because, they are to determine if they are ready to commute to office, follow social distancing and hygiene during COVID. 

For employees who will be choosing to work out of office, companies will ensure that all safety protocols, sanitation measures and daily checks for oxygen levels and blood pressure. 

“We’ve been given the liberty to work from home or anywhere we choose. The company has been supportive all through the pandemic, stressing on work- life balance. Unlike other companies, meetings are not held all day long but only during designated work hours,” K Shyam, an employee of Tech Mahindra told Pune Mirror.

While talking about the company’s treatment towards its employees, Srushtee Khandelwal said, “We’ve been given the option to work from where we choose, be it from home or office. We were told that all safety arrangements have been made should we opt to use the work space, I, for one, have chosen to work from my hometown in Rajasthan, as it seems a bad time to travel. I plan on returning only after January.” 

Other IT companies which have instructed employees to return back to the base include leading IT companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini among others.
