'HIGHEST EVER' CASES REPORTED IN TN TODAY: CHECK FOR TOTAL POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS AND RECOVERIES AS ON JULY 22

Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, July 22, reported 5,849 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 1,86,492.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of July 22:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -    51,765 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –   1,13,319 / 73,150 / 23  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –113 (58 Govt + 55 Private)  

- Total number of samples tested till date –   20,95,757   

- Total number of samples tested today –  60,112   

- Total number of persons tested till date – 20,15,147 

- Total number of persons tested today – 58,475 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 1,31,583 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 4,910 

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 74 (24 Private and 50 Govt) / total 2,700 + 444**
