COVID-19 IN TAMIL NADU TODAY: CHECK POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS AND RECOVERIES AS ON AUGUST 6  

Tamil Nadu on Thursday, August 6, reported 5,684 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 2,79,144. 

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 6:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   53,486.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  1,68,889 / 1,10,228  /27.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –126 (61 Govt + 65 Private) 

- Total number of samples tested till date –  30,20,714         

- Total number of samples tested today –  67,153    

- Total number of persons tested till date –  29,10,468 

- Total number of persons tested today –  65,062 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 2,21,087 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 6,272 

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 110 (22 Private & 88 Govt) / total 4,571.
