COVID-19 IN TAMIL NADU TODAY: CHECK POSITIVE CASES, DEATHS AND RECOVERIES AS ON AUGUST 25   

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, August 25, reported 5,937 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,91,303.    

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 25:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -    52,128.   

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  2,36,294 / 1,54,980 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –141 (63 Govt + 78 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –    43,46,861.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  70,221.     

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 41,99,492.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   67,888.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  3,32,454.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  6,998.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 107 (42 Private & 65 Govt) / total 6,721.
