“1000 PEOPLE WOULD HAVE DIED”: TAMILISAI’S STATEMENT ON THOOTHUKUDI SHOOTING

Tamil Nadu BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday met reporters in Chennai where she said that the protest held by people against Sterlite in Thoothukudi was polluted by anti-social elements.
She said, “The 13 people sacrificed their lives and saved the lives of 1000’s of people. The protest was polluted by anti-social elements who wanted to mislead innocent people”.
As many as 13 people were shot dead by police during the anti-Sterlite protest in Thoothukudi. Various political parties and activists condemned the shooting by police.
