After unveiling the statue of the former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran, actor-politician Rajinikanth addressed a gathering of more than 5,000 people at the Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute in Maduravoyal, Chennai where he was quoted saying that only the speaking of Tamil is not sufficient for the growth of Tamil, the growth of Tamilians is essential for the growth of Tamil. He added that people like Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam and Sundar Pichai have brought pride to Tamil and Tamilians.
