ELECTION 2019: DMK LEADS IN MOST PARTS OF CHENNAI

As the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 results are yet to be announced, Tamil Nadu, which accounts for the maximum number of Lok Sabha seats at 39, went to the polls this time. At around, 8:58 am the initial counting of votes had begun, which shows that Dayanidhi Maran Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is leading from the Central Chennai of Tamil Nadu.
According to Times Now reports, here are the latest updates on the election results; S R Vijayakumar of AIADMK presently holds the Chennai Central Lok Sabha seat from Tamil Nadu. S R Vijayakumar had defeated the then Congress' Dayanidhi Maran by gaining 40.9 per cent of the votes in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
DMK candidate Kalanidhi Veerasamy is seen leading from the North Chennai constituency of Tamil Nadu. AIADMK's Venkatesh Babu currently holds the Chennai North Lok Sabha Constituency of Tamil Nadu state. While, P Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram is leading in the Sivaganga constituency of Tamil Nadu. Pr Senthilnathan of AIADMK presently holds the Sivaganga Lok Sabha Constituency of Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, A. Raja of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is leading in Nilgiris constituency of Tamil Nadu. Nilgiris Lok Sabha Constituency of Tamil Nadu is presently held by AIADMK's C Gopalakrishnan.
With good hopes spreading around, M Karunanidhi memorial is decorated in the Marina beach and his famous quote “State government is in our hands and whoever we decide will rule at the centre” written with flower petals reads loud.
The voting took place on April 18, 2019, for 18 constituencies and for the remanding four seats the voting was held during the last phase of elections on May 19, 2019.
