As rain lashes Tamil Nadu, five persons reportedly lost their lives in rain-related incidents. According to reports, one died in a wall collapse in Thanjavur on Tuesday. Two persons died near Chennai after being struck by lightning while two others died in rain-related incidents in Cuddalore and Nagapattinam districts. Notably, the meteorological office has forecast heavy rain in Chennai and "very heavy rainfall" in coastal Tamil Nadu in the next 24 hours.
