TAMIL NADU: PREGNANT WIFE SUSPECTS SUB-INSPECTOR BEHIND COP’S DEATH

The wife of the policeman, who was allegedly attacked with an iron rod and beaten to death in Nambiyar river, has alleged that a sub-inspector could be behind the murder of her husband. Earlier, it was alleged that sand smugglers killed him when he went to stop them. The 5-month pregnant woman, Maria Rose Margaret, alleged that the sub-inspector set up henchmen and killed her husband Jagadeesh.
It is alleged that five cops including Jagadeesh went to the river after receiving a tip-off about sand smuggling. However, the four others returned while Jagadeesh’s body was recovered with severe injuries. Police have reportedly arrested three persons namely Muthukrishnan, Murugavel and Manikandan, while a hunt for another suspect named Murugan has been launched.
