Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts received a torrential downpour on Tuesday and Wednesday. Reportedly, Vellore had an average of 27.85 mm rainfall, and Tiruvannamalai was recorded at 38.74 mm average rainfall. The highest rainfall was recorded in the Fort city with 63.5mm and Vandavasi with 43mm rain. The water level in Sathanur reservoir in Tiruvannamalai has increased to 108feet as per Wednesday due to the storm. The total capacity of the tank in total is only 119 feet.
