The Tamil Nadu government has reportedly increased the price of sugar sold at the ration shops to Rs 25 per kg, with the price hike to be effective from November 1. The state government, however, reportedly announced that those who are listed under Below Poverty Line will get sugar at a price of Rs 13.50 per kg.
