TAMIL NADU: COW, MAN AND DOG DIE ONE AFTER ANOTHER AFTER TOUCHING LIVE ELECTRIC WIRE

In a harrowing incident in a village near Usilampatti in Madurai, a cow, its owner and his dog died one after another after coming in contact with a live electric wire on Tuesday. Police filed a case and the bodies were sent for post-mortem.

The elderly man named Mokkusu from Kalkondanpatti village took the cow for grazing in the morning. The cow stepped on a live wire, which was snapped following the heavy rains on Monday. While the animal struggled for life, the elderly man attempted to save it.

However, the man also suffered an electric shock. On seeing this, his dog bit the wire and tried to drag it subjecting itself to electric shock. However, all the three died in the incident. The villagers are grieved over the heart-rending incident.
