TAMIL NADU COVID-19 STATS FOR 17 APRIL: 56 NEW CASES AND OTHER ADDITIONAL DETAILS LISTED

Tamil Nadu on Friday, 17 April, reported 56 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state 1323.

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of 15 April:

Total number of passengers under home quarantine – 23,934

Total number of passengers in government quarantine facilities – 34

Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 27 (17 government and 10 private)

Total number of samples tested till date – 29,673

Number of samples tested today - 3668

Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 1,891

Total number of patients discharged following treatment – 283

Total number of deaths – 15

Number of ventilators available – 3371

Number of isolation beds available – 29,074
