According to reports, a first year catering student was buried alive and killed by his friends after he shared an intimate picture of himself with his girlfriend, who is the sister of one of his friends, on WhatsApp. Saravanan, son of Arumugam and Pappathi of Vadakku Vasal in Thanjavur, plays drums in weddings and had travelled to Palani on September 30. However, he did not return home, and the parents complained to police. While Saravanan was not found, an inebriated friend some days ago had said that Saravanan was killed. Police were informed, and enquiry revealed that Anand, Navaneetha Krishnan and Nantha Kumar murdered Saravanan. The trio was arrested, and a police investigation is going on, say reports.
