TN CM OFFERS 500 SUBSIDISED SOLAR PUMPS FOR FARMERS

According to reports, the Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on offered 500 solar pumps to farmers outside the delta districts at subsidised cost on Thursday, besides the 500 pumps announced earlier for delta farmers.

The pumps will allegedly be given to farmers at 90% subsidised price and it would cost the government Rs 25 crore. “Since 2012, Tamil Nadu has distributed 3,112 solar power pumps to farmers at a total subsidy of Rs 117.24 crore,” the chief minister was quoted as saying by TOI.
