LOCKDOWN: BANK TIMINGS CHANGED IN TAMIL NADU FROM TODAY - CHECK DETAILS!

As the number of coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly, banks have revised the services provided, along with the working hours, in order to curb the spread further. These are mainly tailored for Tamil Nadu.

Banks List:

ICICI Bank: Via SMS they have intimated their customers saying that the branches will be open, but with reduced staff. Further, t has informed that there might be a delay in delivering cheque books, cards, and so on. “We urge you to stay safe and bank from home using iMobile/Internet Banking for all essential banking services."

HDFC Bank: The working hours have been altered; from 10 am to 2 pm. Passbook updates and foreign currency purchases cannot be availed.

YES Bank: The working hours have been altered; from 10 am to 2 pm.

Axis Bank: Economic Times reported that this bank will be waiving off charges for savings and current account, and prepaid card customers towards online payments and ATM transactions.

HSBC: The working hours have been altered; 10 am to 2 pm.

Bank of Baroda: They have announced no charges on digital transactions.

Kotak Mahindra Bank: The working hours have been altered; 10 am to 2 pm.

The Indian Banks’ Association in a press release stated that only essential services such as cash deposit and withdrawal, remittances, cheque clearing and government transactions will be rendered by all the bank branches from March 23.

"Most of the services that the bank offers are available online. IBA requests customers to avail non-essential services through the mobile and online banking channels. IBA is working round-the-clock to ensure all digital channels are up-to-date and have all the information that customers may be need during this period. In case any customer needs further assistance, they can call their bank branches or use the IVR facility through their call centres," IBA said.
