Since the Supreme Court has declined to extend the September 14 deadline for admission, nearly 100 superspeciality seats in state-run medical colleges of Tamil Nadu will remain vacant in 2017, says a report by the Times of India. The report said, 53 seats fall vacant in Madras Medical College, 14 in Kilpauk Medical College, 11in Stanley Medical College, nine in Madurai Medical College, five in Thanjavur Medical College, six in Tirunelveli Medical College and one in Chengalpet Medical College.
