Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan made a trip to Tuticorin Government Hospital to see the injured in the anti-Sterlite protests, where about 12 people have died so far and offered his sympathies.
Speaking to reporters, Kamal joined the chorus of the likes of DMK working president MK Stalin on coming down heavily on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy and asking the latter to resign.
As section 144 is imposed in the area, Kamal's visit led to a case being filed against him, reports Puthiya Thalaimurai.
