SOFIA-TAMILISAI CONTROVERSY: FIR DETAILS OUT

A controversy had erupted in Tamil Nadu after the state's BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan filed a police complaint against a student Sofia, for allegedly raising anti-BJP slogans at her while the two were on a flight that landed at Thootukudi airport on Monday.

Post the fracas between the two at the airport and upon a complaint from the airport manager N Subramanian, a police case was filed and Sofia was remanded to judicial custody for 15 days. However, she was granted bail.

The FIR of the same has been released on media outlets. The incident has attracted ire from many, especially towards Tamilisai for showing dissent against freedom of expression and going gung-ho at a student.
