CORONAVIRUS UPDATES: 6 NEW POSITIVE CASES OF COVID-19 IN PARTS OF TAMIL NADU
Home > News Shots > Tamil NaduAs India crosses 700 mark with confirmed positive cases, the number of people tested positive for COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu rose to 35. Six more people tested positive, who mostly came in contact with already confirmed patients, rendering positive.
The National Health Mission in Tamil Nadu, took to social media and shared the information saying, "six new positive cases of #Covid19 in Tamil Nadu, two family contacts from #MDU #CN12, two contacts from #Erode CN5,6 ,one contact of CN14 of Chennai, 1 25 year old family, resident of Chennai, admitted in Ariyalur GH reported positive #TN_together_AgainstCorona, making the total tally to 35 so far."
Two family members of the 54-year-old man, who died on Wednesday two days after testing positive for the virus, two contacts of the Thai nationals who came on a pilgrimage and one contact of patient 14 from Chennai are among the six people who tested positive.
While a 25-year-old woman, whose identity or contact history is not known also tested positive for the coronavirus. She is currently admitted to the Government Hospital in Ariyalur.
With the daily updates on medical facilities across the state, Tamil Nadu has so far placed 15,788 passengers under home quarantine for 28 days while 109 symptomatic passengers are being quarantined in quarantine facilities near airport.
