SHORT FILM ON AUTISM WINS PRAISE FROM DIRECTOR VASANTH

Various events are being held this month to create awareness on Autism. On April 2 at an event at Prasad Labs, one Radha Nandakumar who has produced a short film on creating awareness on autism called 'Peranbudan' was felicitated. “Peranbudan talks of the journey of a boy suffering from autism who gets lost on his way from his workplace one day. Eventually he succumbs to a fatal injury. The film tries to create awareness among parents and public on the issue of autism,” said Radha, who has worked with special children for about 20 years now. Director Vasanth was also part of the event and appreciated the efforts of the director Mani. 

It is also learnt that the film, which was initially titled 'Peranbu' was changed to its present title after a request from director Ram, who has used the same title for one of his forthcoming films starring Mammootty and Anjali in the lead roles.
