According to reports, Professor T Santhanam, who was recently appointed as the Principal of DG Vaishnav College in Arumbakkam, Chennai, was found to have plagiarised his PhD thesis. The syndicate of Madras University unanimously decided not to approve his PhD after a subject expert found that Santhanam had copied in toto chapters 3,4, and 5 from the thesis of a scholar of Arizona State University.
