SETC BUSES TO PLY FROM EGMORE RAILWAY STATION

In a major relief to passengers, who either missed their trains or didn’t have their reservation tickets confirmed in the last minute, the State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) will now operate buses from Egmore railway station. This will reduce the burden of going to Koyambedu to board buses.

SETC has begun operations of three daily AC bus services to Tirunelveli, Karur and Bodinayakanur from the station. The move comes after the SETC operated three AC buses from Chennai Egmore railway station on trial basis from Monday.

While Chennai-Bodi AC sleeper bus costs Rs 1,110, the fare for Chennai-Tirunelveli AC sleeper bus stands at Rs 1,360. For Chennai-Karur, sleeper berth costs Rs 820, while AC seater is Rs 430. Passengers will have to pay Rs 1,110 for Chennai-Bodi AC sleeper. Chennai-Tirunelveli AC sleeper bus costs Rs 1,360, while sleeper berth and AC seater for Chennai-Karur buses are ticketed at Rs 820 and Rs 430.
