Seeman, Ameer acquitted in sedition case

The Additional District Session court reportedly acquitted Naam Tamizhar party leader Seeman and Director Ameer who faced sedition charges for their provocative speeches supporting LTTE in 2008 in Rameswaram. Reportedly, Seeman and Ameer appeared before the sessions court on Tuesday for the hearing as Judge Lingeswaran acquitted them stating that their speeches cannot be considered to be against India’s sovereignty.
