SECOND PHASE OF NIRMALA DEVI CASE INVESTIGATION TO START

Nirmala Devi was produced at the Sattur Court on Wednesday after her five-day CB-CID inquiry got over. She was reportedly sent to the Madurai Central Jail since the CB-CID did not ask for an extension for investigation. Nirmala Devi was ordered to be in jail until May 9.
The one-man inquiry panel set up by the Governor, R Santhanam will begin his second phase of investigation on Thursday. Reportedly, he went to the jail and investigated Nirmala Devi. The CB-CID will be investigating the other accused in the case, Madurai Kamaraj University assistant professor Murugan.
Devanga Arts College assistant professor Nirmala Devi was arrested on April 18 for asking sexual favours for higher officials from her students.
