The administration of P.J. Guptha's High School in Ambattur made nearly 60 students who had not worn shoes to school, to stand under the hot sun, barefoot. The school came up with a sudden rule for Class IX and X students to compulsorily wear shoes and many could not oblige. Parents were extremely unhappy with the punishment and requested the management to give them more time to buy shoes.
