According to reports, Saritha Nair, who was an accused in Kerala's multi-crore solar scam, met the leaders of Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam, led by TTV Dhinakaran, and expressed her wish in joining the party. She met Dhinakaran loyalist and Kanyakumari district secretary KT Pachaimal and conveyed her interest, say reports.
Nair reportedly said that she is a big follower of J Jayalalithaa, late AIADMK supremo, and added that the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister welcomed when she expressed her interest in joining AIADMK in 2014. However, she explained that she decided to join AMMK as “the developments in the AIADMK after Jayalalithaa’s death have been very disillusioning.”
Stating that her meeting with Pachaimal was fruitful, Saritha Nair added that she is waiting for a call from party leader TTV Dhinakaran.
