After Siddharth, it is the turn of actor R Sarathkumar, who's at the helm of affairs of political party Samathuva Makkal Katchi as well, to take a dig at Rajinikanth for saying that people shouldn't take to protests since it affects day-to-day life. The actor-turned-politician is said to have made the statement when he visited Tuticorin on Wednesday to meet the injured and relatives of those who died in the anti-Sterlite violence.
Addressing media persons on Thursday at the Chennai Airport, Sarathkumar said, "Protests are a way of constitutional life, which gives us certain rights such as freedom of speech, expression, etc. How can you ask someone not to protest if they don't get something they deserve or are being treated unfairly?"
