Saffron clothes tied to busts of Anna, MGR and Periyar

Pictures of the busts of former Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers CN Annadurai and MG Ramachandran and Dravidar Kazhagam founder EVR Periyar with saffron clothes tied around in Namakkal have emerged on social media. Police have reportedly launched an investigation into the incident. Earlier, two BJP supporters were arrested for vandalising the statue of Periyar in Tirupattur near Vellore.
