A 24-year-old Russian tourist named A. Evangelin allegedly was found seeking alms outside the Sri Kumarakottam temple in Kanchipuram. According to media reports, the traveller was fed up as he could not draw cash from ATM and decided to seek alms. Reportedly, the police gave him money to travel back to Chennai after checking if he has original passport and VISA.
