As the transport employees refuse to withdraw strike even after six days, as many as five people have died so far in accidents caused due to the temporary employment of non-professional bus drivers who are not used to driving the poorly maintained MTC buses. There have been several cases of nonfatal accidents in the city. On the other hand, the corporation of transport has reportedly lost about 65% of their revenue which has crossed Rs 100 crore mark.
