A rowdy, who claimed to have changed ways and reformed, gave a petition to Tamil Nadu fisheries minister D Jayakumar seeking help. A purported video of the incident shows the rowdy in tears beseeching help from the minister, who is seen assuaging the former.
Pokkai Saravanan from Old Washermenpet said that he got an injury in his leg and was struggling without any means for food. The AIADMK senior leader is seen offering him money, which the rowdy refuses to receive.
However, the minister forcibly thrusts the money in Saravanan’s hand. Reportedly, Saravanan was offered Rs 5,000 as immediate help and the minister assured him of help for his better life.
