A robber in Kanchipuram was reportedly beaten to death by locals after he tried to rob from a retired CBI officer’s home. The officer’s wife, who saw three strangers breaking their back door reportedly alarmed, hearing which the neighbours stormed inside their home. The officer’s wife was attacked by the robbers and she is reportedly undergoing treatment in a hospital. While two of the thieves managed to escape, one was caught and was reportedly beaten to death.
