Tamil Nadu fisheries minister D Jayakumar has reportedly said that the state government will not hesitate to take action against restaurants for not reducing the price of food items even after the GST was reduced from 18% to 5%. The minister also reportedly warned that licenses of restaurants who don’t lower the price will be cancelled. The state government has decided to hold talks with the restaurant associations on reducing the rates, he reportedly added.
