According to reports, the kin of people who died during the historic protest in Thoothukudi against the sterile factory have refused to take the dead bodies from the mortuary till the Sterlite factory is sealed.
As many as 11 people have lost their lives and several others are receiving treatments in ICU and other wards of Thoothukudi General Hospital.
During the 100th day of protest, police were pelted with stones by protesters and the Thoothukudi collectorate was also pelted with stones. Police opened fire at the protesters in which 11 were killed.
