RE-POSTMORTEM BEGINS ON 7 DEAD IN STERLITE SHOOTOUT

As per the Madras High Court order, re-postmortem is being conducted on seven of the 13 who had died during the anti-Sterlite protests in Tuticorin, which turned violent on the 100th day.
The post-mortem is being conducted at the government hospital in Tuticorin and is being overseen by doctors from JIPMER.
Earlier, the Tamil Nadu government’s plea to return the mortal remains to be given to relatives was shot down by the High Court.
