Earlier, the Chennai Press Club had alleged that actor-politician Rajinikanth while addressing media persons at the Chennai Airport had spoken in a demeaning manner to journalists and said that it was their job to ask questions and communicate news to the public. The body even threatened to go on a protest condemning Rajinikanth's actions.
Now, the Superstar has taken to Twitter and offered an explanation. Roughly translated, his tweet read, "Taking cognisance of Chennai Press Club which felt that I had spoken to journalists in a threatening tone at the Chennai Airport, I wish to state that demeaning them (journalists) was never my intention and register my apologies for the same if they had felt hurt."
