Railways floats tender for Chennai Perungudi-Cuddalore rail line

Southern Railways recently floated a tender for contractors for the proposed Chennai Perungudi-Cuddalore rail line through Mamallapuram and Puducherry. The bid seeks to identify contractors for conducting a final location survey and plans for other work. Sources said the Railway Board has allocated Rs 1200 crore for the 179.28 km railway line, says a report.
