The Southern Railway has announced special trains ahead of Diwali. A special train from Chennai Egmore to Nagercoil (No.06039) will depart from Egmore at 12.55 pm on Tuesday, and reach Nagercoil at 4.15 am on Wednesday. Another special train from Nagercoil to Chennai will depart at 5.00 pm on October 22 and reach Chennai Egmore by 7.20 am on the next day. Further, the railway has also announced that a special train will depart from Chennai at 2.30 pm on October 23 and reach Secunderabad on the next day at 4.00 am.
