Man beheads mother, carries head to police and surrenders

According to reports, a man from Alangudi of Pudukkottai district beheaded his mother, Rani in front of his 10-year-old brother and surrendered at the nearby police station. Allegedly, Rani has five sons and had been in jail since 2007 for murdering her husband. After release, she lived alone with her youngest son, Muthu. Reportedly, Rani and her eldest son, Anand had constant property disputes. She was reportedly beheaded by Anand while waiting with Muthu at a bus stand. Allegedly, he carried her head to the police station and surrendered. Police are investigating as to why Anand murdered his mother.
