Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday took to Twitter to inform that Chennai has been included in the UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network for its contribution to music. The minister also pointed out that Chennai is the third Indian city to enter the list after Jaipur and Varanasi. The Network is currently formed by 116 Members from 54 countries covering seven creative fields - Crafts and Folk Art, Design, Film, Gastronomy, Literature, Music and Media Arts, says UNESCO.
