Following the CPI(M)’s defeat in the assembly elections in Tripura, the BJP supporters brought down a statue of Lenin using a JCB in Belania town of the state. Reacting to the incident, BJP national secretary H Raja wrote on Facebook that EVR Periyar’s statue in Tamil Nadu will attain the same fate.
