TOI reports that preliminary investigation has been completed in the case of trainee IPS officer Safeer Karim, who was caught cheating, fed answers by his wife via a Bluetooth device. The latest is that the police are contemplating transferring the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation as it comes under the purview of Information Technology act, with the local police having no powers to probe it further, reports added.
