A police dog from Andaman and Nicobar islands was reportedly flown from Port Blair to Chennai for treatment at Madras Veterinary College (MVC) hospital. The 7-year-old male Labrador Jeffrey is reportedly a narcotics detection expert and was diagnosed with leptospirosis that made the dog anaemic. However, after blood transfusions, the dog’s condition stabilized and he is now able to stand up and walk slowly, Times of India reports say.
