IMPORTANT POINTS LISTED BY CHENNAI POLICE TO CELEBRATE 2020 NEW YEAR

Ahead of the 2020 New Year celebrations, a special meeting was held at the Commissioner Office which was attended by additional commissioners Arun and Prem Anand Sinah.

Both of them summarised some of the important points which can also be called as checklists for the people in Chennai to celebrate the New year.

2500 Traffic police will be employed to oversee the celebrations across the city

Seperate team has been allocated to prevent bike racing until early morning

Special surveillance in ECR, OMR, GST Road, Anna Salai, Marina Beach and Elliots Beach (Besant Nagar)

Strict actions will be taken for Rash Driving and DD (Drunken Drive) which will go up to cancellation of driving license

PGs should not be open after 1 AM and avoid over admitting people

Parking facilities should be done for private celebrations

Drunk people should not be allowed to drive

Pink Beat will be available throughout the day for women safety

All the 75 flyovers in Chennai will be closed during a particular time today

People are requested to keep the above points in mind and plan their celebrations accordingly.
